At Rocky Mountain Yorkies we raise exceptional Yorkie puppies in a happy, loving, family environment. We breed for beauty, health, and amazing temperaments that compliment each and every family. We are located in Southwest Idaho and are a fully intact and in-home breeder. All of our dogs are loving members of the family, (ours and our Guardian homes), and are showered with affection and attention. They are well socialized, well mannered, and beyond loved.

Family is everything
We are Nathaniel and Ashley Ashby, high school sweethearts who fell in love, settled down, and started our family right here in our hometown in Southwest Idaho.
Our journey with dogs began in 2005 when we brought home our first fur babies, two Boston Terriers named Molly and Max. We welcomed our first litter in 2007, and what started as something we loved quickly became a lasting part of our family.
Over the years, our family has grown to include 11 children and many beloved dogs. Along the way, we fell in love with Yorkshire Terriers — their personalities, loyalty, and the incredible amount of character packed into such a tiny dog.
Today, we are a small, family-based breeder specializing in traditional blue and tan, black and gold, parti, and chocolate parti Yorkies. Our dogs and puppies are raised with lots of individual attention, hands-on care, and, most importantly, love.
We are located in Idaho's Treasure Valley, about 45 minutes from Boise. For families outside of driving distance, we can also arrange delivery with a trusted pet nanny for an additional fee.

Our Program
Right there with them from the moment they are born
Every puppy is precious to us and we are right there with them from the moment they are born. Their health and well-being is of the utmost importance to us.
Daily weight checks
Every puppy is weighed daily for up to two weeks, then weekly after that, so nothing gets missed in those first fragile days.
Handled every day
They are handled every day, well socialized, and introduced to new toys, sounds, and other dogs long before they go home.
Grooming, started early
They are introduced to the bath and to basic grooming on their face, ears, feet, and nails, so their first groom is never a shock.
Raised in our home
We are a fully intact, in-home breeder. Our dogs are family members — ours and our Guardian homes' — not kennel dogs.

Rocky

Rocky is everything we dreamed of in a stud. It took us over a year to find him because we were so particular about temperament and looks. He is a gorgeous parti Yorkie with vibrant, non-fading colors, a tiny petite structure, perfect bite, thick hair, and the perfect personality.
Zoro
Stud · Parti Yorkie · 4.5 pounds
Zoro is a beautiful parti Yorkie who also carries chocolate. He has a gorgeous coat that brushes out excellent and doesn't require a lot of maintenance. He is sturdy, produces healthy puppies, and is a wonderful example of the breed.
Choncho

Choncho is the perfect mix of sweet and sassy! His fun little attitude keeps everyone laughing. He is highly motivated by treats, loves toys, and has the perfect balance of energetic and chill — always up for adventure, but also a happy little couch potato.
